FRENCHING SOLUTIONS

LR10

Automated Lamb Rack Frenching

Automated frenching for lamb racks at up to 10 racks per minute, delivering a consistent, high-quality finish.

Designed for modern meat-processing operations, the LR10 eliminates water from the frenching process while recovering intercostal meat and reducing the labour associated with manual frenching.

THE FRENCHING PROCESS

How It Works

See how the LR10 processes each lamb rack through a controlled, automated frenching process – from loading through to the finished rack.

01

Load

Lamb racks are placed onto the infeed conveyor, typically immediately following removal of the fat cap.

For Cap-off lamb racks, the fat cap is completely removed before loading. For Cap-on racks, only the portion of the cap covering the frenching area is removed.

02

First Stage Frenching

The high-value intercostal meat is sliced from between the rib bones, producing neat intercostal strips while maintaining a clean separation from the rib bones.

The recovered intercostal strips are collected in a bin positioned within the base of the machine.

03

Second Stage Frenching

The remaining meat surrounding each rib bone is stripped away to create a clean, consistent frenching finish across the lamb rack.

The recovered meat is collected in a second bin seperate from the intercostal strips within the base of the machine.

04

Outfeed

The finished frenched racks are carried out of the machine ready for the next stage of processing.

The LR10 can be configured with an optional outfeed conveyor to suit the layout and requirements of the existing processing plant.

AUTOFRENCH EDGE

Production Insight. Built Into the Machine.

Every LR10 is connected to the internet, enabling machine performance and production data to be securely captured and made available through the AutoFrench Edge portal.

AutoFrench Edge gives processors greater visibility over production results and machine performance, providing insights that can help improve production accuracy, identify issues and support faster fault diagnosis.

Key Benefits

01

8-Rib Rack Visibility

The LR10 counts the rib bones in every rack, with this data captured and made available through the AutoFrench Edge portal. Processors can view the proportion of 8-rib racks being produced, providing a measurable view of rack performance and helping identify upstream cutting issues.

02

Machine Performance & Fault Data

Machine performance and fault data is captured and recorded in the AutoFrench Edge portal, giving maintenance teams deeper insight when investigating machine issues. Access to this information can help identify faults more efficiently, understand machine behaviour and support more effective maintenance.

03

Remote Technical Support

The AutoFrench technical support team can remotely access the machine data available through AutoFrench Edge. This allows our team to review performance and fault information alongside the customer, helping diagnose issues remotely and reduce the time required to identify and resolve problems.
